This romantic seventeenth century hideaway, set in the picturesque village of Willersey, Gloucestershire, is ideally situated for exploring the North Cotswolds, the Vale of Evesham and Stratford-on-Avon.
Originally the private wing of a larger farmhouse, Ninds Farm Cottage retains many original features and is reputed to be the oldest house in the village. It was bought by the present owner in September 2012 and refurbished and redecorated to provide cosy self-catering accommodation for two.
The accommodation on the ground floor comprises a lounge with exposed beams, comfortable seating, Freeview TV and furniture by Welsh furniture makers Haddon Gardiner; beyond, is the kitchen with a full range of units, electric cooker and fridge with freezer box, the conservatory dining area and door leading to the enclosed back garden with seating for summer breakfasts or evening drinks. On the first floor is the bathroom with hand-held shower, (bubble bath is supplied) and bedroom with double bed, enchanting window seat and exposed beams.
The cottage is heated throughout by electric storage heating. Additional convector heaters are available if necessary. The lounge also has an open fire: logs and kindling are supplied and one scuttle of coal is included in the rental..
The cottage does not have a telephone point but is there mobile ‘phone reception in most rooms. Wi-fi is available to customers at the Bell Inn.
Guests may bring one or two dogs by prior arrangement, but dogs must not be allowed on the furniture unless on their own pet blanket. The Cottage is non-smoking. Saturday changeover.
